Psychological disorders are cognitive, emotional and behavioral alterations that cause suffering to the patient and move away from what is considered “normal” in the reference social \/ cultural group. Disorders (for example, anxiety, depression, sleep disorders, psychotic disorders, personality disorders) significantly impact the person’s life.<\/p>\n

Psychological disorders are currently conceptualized as an effect of the interaction between the vulnerability of the individual and the demands of the situation. The elements that would explain the development of a disorder would be: a) The individual’s biological vulnerability, 2) Its psychological vulnerability, and 3) The surrounding environmental factors.<\/p>\n
